Shelley Peedin Sasser
Shelley Peedin Sasser’s rehearsal dinner was at the Cornealius Inn on May 15th, 2025. Shelley was a special bride to me because I have known her for many years since we were young girls four wheeling on her father's farm. Her father and my lifelong best friend's father were brothers. I have always thought Shelley has had such a fun, loving personality. I have kept up with her youtube channel on and off for many years. Shelley is such a natural beauty and showcases that on her youtube channel. A woman who I call my Aunt Janice hosted her rehearsal dinner. She's not really my aunt. She is my dad's life long friend and her dad and my dad's dad grew up as brothers. My Aunt Janice has been working for us at the Cornealius Properties for the last year and it has been one of the most fun things that has happened during my lifetime. It is fun to hear stories about her, my aunt, my mom, and my dad’s friendship such as times at Kerr Lake. She and my aunt Renee also have a wonderful relationship and they cut up and act crazy and are hilarious to brides, couples, and families that come here. My aunt Janice decided to host a fabulous swank rehearsal dinner for this extremely special young couple.
Shelley's aunt Miss Susan supported Brooke's Fresh Cut Flower Farm from the very beginning with getting a weekly flower subscription bucket every year since I began. Miss Susan was great friends with the girl gang that grew up with my dad.
These are some behind the scenes photos from the farm the weekend of Shelley’s event!
Shelly’s rehearsal dinner was classic blue and white with pops of gold. Which was perfect for her. I have seen on her social media where she has set her table with vintage blue and white plates so Janice really took the time to get to know her and what Shelly would like for her rehearsal dinner. Janice had so much fun planning this event for them. She was like a little kid in the best way possible planning this event. She ended up purchasing a lot of her own candles for us to use for the rehearsal dinner and gave them to us afterwards as well as some additional blue and white bud vases. She bought so many bottles of A1 and Hines 57 sauce and then just gave them to everyone afterwards. She made sure to cross every T and dot every eye. The rehearsal dinner was so beautiful and a true showcase of her love for the couple.
Shelley's wedding was at the Cornealius Properties Lewis Atkinson, she decided to get married in front of the home. She booked her wedding before we had even built the chapel and chose to stick with her original plan; getting married outside in front of the historic home. It was a beautiful sunny day.
The perfect day for her to arrive on the front lawn aisle in her daddy's vintage car, driven by her brother, and walked down the aisle by her brother. Her wedding was super classic with all of her details being white except for the car and her blue and white tablecloths. She had a few other touches of blue on an oyster wall that she made as well. I have also loved keeping up with that journey (Shelley sells seashells by the seashore). I previously saw on her social media that her dad helped her with cleaning and preparing oysters for her to paint. He was always a big supporter of all of Shelley's dreams, and always helped her make her adventures look more effortless as her photo wall did look at her wedding. Something else that stood out about Shelley's wedding was that her and Richard gave speeches, thanking everyone for attending their wedding.
I was humbled by how they acted on their wedding day. They had what I would consider an old church wedding just at a wedding venue and it could not have been any more special. I feel like their wedding really spoke to who they are and who they want to be together as a couple for the rest of their lives. I am excited to keep up with this couple in years to come and see what is next for Shelley.
I am thankful that we have been able to be a part of their story here at the Cornealius Properties and Brookes Fresh Cut Flower Farm. We are patiently waiting for a post by the couple saying “We’re expecting”. Wishing you a lifetime of love, health, and happiness - The Cornealius Family
