Becoming a ‘Destination’ Venue
We feel blessed and are honestly just in awe that so many people are choosing to come HERE from all. over. the. world. ONLY GOD could cause this to happen!
Many of our couples met in college or while working at internships and residencies abroad, and are choosing to celebrate at our venue! We find that many couples discover us through Instagram or TikTok.
Because of this, couples and their families are coming quite a distance to get married here! All of these cases bring lots of people to our hometown, and we are here for it. This makes The Cornealius Properties a DESTINATION WEDDING VENUE. Mind blowing.
Two upcoming brides that we’re excited to welcome for “destination weddings” are Danielle Wade and Sofie Lynn!
Danielle Wade is an actress, musician, and dancer coming all the way from the broadway stage in New York, New York to Goldsboro, NC! She is engaged to film producer and co-worker, Will Branner. After recently finishing her lead role as Regina George, Danielle will soon be coming to The Cornealius Properties for her wedding day!
Sofie Lynn is a singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee! You may have heard her song “Got It From My Mama” which went viral on TikTok a while back, or recognize her voice on the TV show, Yellowstone! Her song “Y’all or Nothing” is currently trending.
One of our past couples, Emily and Dawson Palmer, had a TEAR JERKING wedding day. What a sweet couple! They met in Hawaii on a mission trip. Emily found our iconic Birdsong Chapel on social media, and the two agreed that this was the perfect place to say “I do” surrounded by family and friends. Many of their loved ones traveled from various states across the country to be HERE for their special day.

In cases like these, there are often many people traveling to the area who need a place to stay. Thankfully, we are able to accommodate you! The Cornealius Properties offers the Couples’ Cottage as well as two “Family Houses”, which are both just a short drive from the venue.
The Couples Cottage is the newest addition to our property! It was built specifically to sleep couples on their wedding night, and to offer them the convenience of leaving the next day. However, when large families come in, it is also an option for family members to rent as well. It is a two-bedroom home, which sleeps four people.

In addition to that, we have one Family House that comfortably sleeps 10 people and another Family House that sleeps 12. Both of these properties are local homes that have been recently renovated by the “N Projects” team. This is another of our families’ businesses.

Anyways, the Couples Cottage and both Family Houses have beautiful hardwood floors throughout, bright white cabinets, and granite countertops. They also have large, open living areas that are perfect for casual hangouts, bridal brunches… you name it! You will find light beige walls throughout and tile in the bathrooms.
To top it all off, each home is fitted with new + antique furniture to complete the look. When we designed these homes, it was our goal to create spaces that are picture-perfect, just for the occasion.
